IIMM is the premier professional Institute of Materials Management in India. The Institute has its National Headquarters and its Directorate of Education at Navi Mumbai. The mission of the Institute is to “promote professional excellence in Materials Management towards National Prosperity through sustainable development“, through its national network of 44 branches & 19 chapters spread over the length and breadth of the country. IIMM is dedicated to the profession of Supply Chain Management (SCM) through its multifarious activities including executive development programs, seminars, workshops, in-house training programs and for the past three decades has been conducting Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (GDMM) which is recognized by Ministry of HRD, Government of India, for the purposes of recruitment to superior posts and services and Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM) approved by AICTE, Government of India. IIMM has recently launched MBA (SCM) program in association with Karnataka State Open University and M.B.A. (MM) program in association with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. IIMM also conducts Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and Accredited Purchase Practitioner's (APP) Programs of Institute of Supply Management, USA. The Institute has its Centre for Research in Materials Management (CRIMM) at Kolkata and Centre for Advanced Materials Management Studies (CAMMS) in Mumbai. In order to have an effective global interaction on the subject, IIMM is a charter member of International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) Atlanta, USA which has its affiliates in 38 countries from all the six continents, representing Purchasing and Supply Management professionals world-wide.
The Hyderabad Branch of IIMM has always been in the forefront in activities relating to education, training, professional development and consultancy in the field of Materials Management (MM). The Hyderabad Branch was entrusted with the responsibility of hosting the Southern Regional Conference several times and National Convention during the year 1999.
IIMM Hyderabad Branch is organizing a two day training program on Materials Management for Healthcare Institutions from 03 to 04 March 2012. During the two day course there will be eight technical sessions; four on the first day and four on the second day. The venue is Hotel Aditya Park Inn, Ameerpet, Hyderabad. The program will be inaugurated by Dr. P. Satyanarayana, former Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), NEW DELHI on the first day 03 March 2012 at the venue. The tentative schedule/ agenda for the inauguration program is as follows.
9.00 am Requesting Dr. P. Satyanarayana to take his place on the dias.
9.05 am Welcome address by the Hyderabad Branch Chairman
9.10 am A Presentation on “About IIMM” by Dr. V. Venkat Reddy, Hon. Course Director and Distinguished Member
9.15 am “Curtain Raiser” a PowerPoint Presentation about the training program by the Hon. Course Director
9.20 am Presidential address and inauguration by Dr. P. Satyanarayana.
9.25 am Vote of thanks by Branch Secretary.
9.30 am Tea break
10.00 am Commencement of first session on the topic of “Pharmacy” by Dr. P. Satynarayana
